One of the last restaurants in Braunschweig with "good middle-class" (German) cuisine in the best sense of the word. Also seasonal cards, e.g. B. at chanterelle season, are offered. The food is very good and the portions are more than sufficient, the service very professional and friendly. There is plenty of space and a beer garden. This means that the restaurant can also be recommended in Corona times.

Good bourgeois as it should be. German cuisine. Onion schnitzel and fried potatoes great. No unnecessary frills on the plate, thank you. Sour meat could be a little more seasoned, but that's a matter of taste. Will definitely be back

Good food and service

When we lived in Germany we always took my Mother in law here as we called it our Stammplatz where we always enjoyed the friendly family vibe. As I have craved Currywurst (a good one ) it was my order together with an alcohol free beer (Radler ) and my wife had a Jager schnitzel, and a few? sips of my Radler. Both were huge portions with pommes. Very friendly and efficient service by the staff. Brought back memories of 23 years ago. ?

I come here regularly as it is one of the best restaurants in Braunschweig for regional and German cuisine. The food is always fresh and delicious, with portions that won't leave you hungry. If you wish to go here it is important to reserve, especially on weekends but sometimes you can be lucky even without. The service is incredibly friendly and quick, making your dinner even more amazing.

When we were blown off in the evening at another restaurant, we arrived with disappointed mine. But this changed abruptly when we saw this restaurant from the outside. An old half-timbered house, which had a great charm. The quaint interior has a great charm and it just fit together. We ordered 2 jägerschnitzel, a vegetable pan, the shrimp, the currywurst and a tuna salad. Everything was of the highest quality. The service was fast, friendly and accommodating. This restaurant is really a great treat in Braunschweig, if you like the German cuisine. It is definitely recommendable and we will be back.
